The shop is in the centre of Lampeter, with free on-street parking just outside, plus free weekend parking on the university campus which is just across the road. There are plenty of other interesting shops in Lampeter, and a vibrant market on the university grounds on the second and fourth Saturday of each month. As a bonus, we are right next door to Y Becws… purveyors of fabulous doughnuts. We are passionate about British wool and always happy to give advice of knitting and crochet techniques, as well as choice of yarn.

We are passionate advocates of High Streets everywhere and have just been shortlisted for the High Street Hero category of the Small Business Britain awards.

What we love about Cambrian Wool -

We stock Cambrian Wool because not only is it a dream to knit and crochet with, it also supports our own, local wool producers. Wool is environmentally friendly and a lovely fibre to wear.

As well as Cambrian Wool we also stock -

We sell pre-loved craft materials and equipment, including fabric off-cuts, remnants, deadstock and sarees; yarn oddments and larger quantities; knitting needles; buttons, beads and embellishments; tapestry wool and embroidery threads; paper, and card-making supplies. We also have a wide range of new materials and tools, including British wool yarns; rag rugging tools; pins, needles and other haberdashery; glues. We have Sashiko needles and threads, as well mending supplies, such as locally made darning mushrooms and St. Pierre darning wool in every colour available, plus patches and felting needles for mending woollies.

We also stock yarn by West Yorkshire Spinners and New Lanark.

In addition, at our our card-making station you can make your own unique greetings card – everything you need to make a one-off special card in the shop without having to invest in whole packs of materials.

Oh, and Daisy the spaniel is often in the shop to greet you too!
